Why Tackle Storage and Security Together?

If the bad guys steal data, why is the cyber market so oriented around network-based security? With data assets worth trillions strewn about legacy storage systems and the cloud, organizations are blind to understanding the risks of data theft and defenseless against aggressive and pervasive cyber-attacks. Hear cyber and data industry experts discuss this challenge, and why there needs to be a paradigm shift in how organizations store, manage, and protect their most valuable data assets data.
Speakers:

Transparent Data Movement: a Use Case for Secure Data Lifecycle Management

Overview of how to leverage TDM in real-world examples. We’ll review general applications as well as specific use cases for healthcare and finance.

Key concepts work across multiple verticals:

  • TDM HSM model (Hierarchical Storage Management)
  • Integrating with cloud connectivity
  • S3 doesn’t only mean Amazon – working with any S3 object storage
  • Security – don’t end up with a leaky bucket
Presented by:

Dave Hughes is the Director of Sales Engineering at RackTop Systems. Dave leads the sales engineering team and has more than 20 years of IT experience that includes hands on management in Information systems design, implementation, administration, and support.

Zero Trust: Protecting Data at the Source

A concerted effort must be made to protect critical sensitive data and not just the network. The data is what an adversary is trying to steal and manipulate. A zero trust approach to data security doesn’t rely on a trusted core like traditional solutions. Instead, zero trust strives to improve data security and reduce complexity. This model can be leveraged by a project or organization of any size and ensures continuous compliance with guidelines such as the JSIG/RMF and CMMC.
