Concept: RAID Schemes in BrickStor
Date: February 6, 2015
What is RAID?
RAID stands for the Redundant Array of Independent Disks which means a failure within a group of disks does not result in a loss of data.
But what schemes are available today?
This video explains several varieties of RAID schemes and how RAID groupings and configurations can impact performance. Ideally, your chosen solution will be adapted to meet your performance, cost, data and protection needs.
Within our BrickStor solution we have different ways to protect your data: no parity, mirrors, single parity, double parity and triple parity. Another key component, in terms of data protection and performance, is how you configure that system.
