Hybrid Storage Brickstor leverages 5 Strata hybrid storage pools which intelligently place data across DRAM, NAND Flash, and disk with an architecture that is optimized for total performance and reliability. Brickstor is capable of satisfying 70-90% of IO requests from DRAM a media that is still an order of magnitude faster than SSD. BrickStor’s hybrid approach is optimized for capacity and performance with the lowest cost per TB.

Variable Block Size

BrickStor dynamic block sizing capability ensures that the storage is optimized for your application workload on an application by application basis. Variable block size ensures you maximize the return on your investment through maximum performance.

Compression

Low latency inline compression saves physical storage capacity and it improves performance. Inline compression reduces capital expenditures by enabling customers to purchase 40% less physical storage capacity on average in virtualized Windows and Linux environments.

Thin Provisioning

Provides efficient capacity management and space allocation that can result in another 50% savings in capital expenditures. Traditionally provisioned storage systems leave admins with an average of 30% to 50% of their allocated space stranded and unused.

Deduplication

Inline block level deduplication provides effective capacity and cost savings in environments with highly duplicative data sets. Because deduplication occurs inline and not post process it doesn’t require additional capacity to begin.

Self Healing

Using an advanced 256-bit checksum BrickStor ensures each block of requested data is intact and can detect and correct errors on the fly. BrickStor can correct errors plaguing hardware RAID based storage systems including bit rot, silent data corruption, misdirected reads and writes, and DMA parity errors. Your data is important and you need to protect it or the cost of data loss or recovery could be devastating.

Replication

Integrated WAN optimized replication supports block and file level replication within and between storage arrays. Only the changed data is transmitted to shorten replication windows and reduce bandwidth usage. As part of the 5th Strata each BrickStor customer is given the ability to replicate data to their on demand myRackTop secure private BrickStor backup array for the ultimate disaster recovery plan and infrastructure.
